Centre-Based Walking Holidays
Particularly in Europe, we base the group at a small hotel or private lodge from which we can plan several daywalks into the surrounding countryside. Some walks start from the front door, whilst others use public or private transfers to the start point, and if you feel like taking it easy it is often possible to opt out of any particular days walk. These can be ideal first time walking holidays as well as great short breaks for the experienced walker.
Point-to-Point Trips
The trips listed may be camping trips, stay in mountain huts, or use local gîtes and hotels, but all have one thing in common; they are all point-to-point itineraries. On each trip the focus is on the integrity of the walk or the final destination, moving on most nights to the next location. A number of our most popular treks are point-to-point itineraries including the Tour du Mont Blanc and Haute Pyrenees Trek in Europe, and further afield our treks to Machu Picchu, Everest Base Camp and Mongolia.
Peak Bagging Holidays
If you want to stand on top of the highest mountain in a range, country or even continent, we have a wide choice of Walking and Trekking holidays to enable you to tick off those peaks. We offer the highest peaks in Africa, The Americas, The Alps, The Tatras, The Atlas, The Andes, North Africa, Norway, Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, Ethiopia, Iran, Malaysia, and Borneo not to mention Mera Peak (6476m.) and Kala Patar (5545m.) in Nepal and Stok Kangri (6114m.) in India.
Specialist Treks
More than 30 years of organising trekking trips around the world gives us access to the most remote regions and most recently opened trails. These specialist treks are an exciting option to those who want to get to take their walking off the more beaten paths and explore different regions on foot. The mountains and ranges may be familiar, but the paths, people and views will be extraordinary. This year we?ve made some exciting new additions.
